On January 21, 2025, the launch event of the International Year of Glaciers' Preservation took place in Geneva, organized by UNESCO and WMO. Among the day's side events, the one proposed by EvK2CNR—'Enhancing Glacier Knowledge to Improve Water Resource Assessment'— was also selected.
