The HKKH Partnership Project in Bergamo for the planning of the third semester
The Regional Partnership Project “Institutional Consolidation for the Coordinated and Integrated Monitoring of Natural Resources towards Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation in the Hindu Kush-Karakoram-Himalaya region��? is entering the third semester of activities, and the Project Team has just concluded 10 intense days of work to prepare the upcoming activities. The main objectives of this series of meetings were to review the progress of the project, develop a strategy and a plan for the next period, and prepare the document to be submitted and approved by the Project Executive Committee (that was to meet just after the first 10 days of work).

18-01-07 Mountain Forum, meeting in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU, NEPAL -- Today, January 18, the mountain community was given the precious chance to meet and share views and experiences in the welcoming venue of ICIMOD headquarters, in Kathmandu, where the Mountain Forum and the Asia Pacific Mountain Network (the Asia-Pacific node of Mountain Forum) co-organised a Open House that gathered about 40 participants, including dr. Marcello Basani, Ev-K²-CNR Field Officier.

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Dr. Alton Byers has been awarded the 2006 Sir Edmund Hillary Mountain Legacy Medal for remarkable service in conservation of culture and nature in remote mountainous regions. Dr. Byers will also be contributing, to DSS-HKKH partnership in 2007, through his wealth of knowledge and rich scientific research works in the Sagarmanatha National Park.

18-10-2006 Tulasi Ram Sharma visited the Pyramid
NEPAL, International Laboratory-Observatory-Pyramid -- The director of Sagarmatha National Park, Tulasi Ram Sharma, has reached the Pyramid Laboratory, in the last days. The visit happened on the occasion of the meeting of technical team for the partnership project DSS-HKKH (Decision-Support-System/ Hindu Kush-Karakorum-Himalaya).
