Renato Baudo
Renato Baudo was born in Maccagno (VA) on August 1st, 1950. He is married and father of two daughters. He currently lives in Verbania Suna (VB).
In 1975, he graduates in Biological Science at Milan University and the following year he works as a researcher at CNR Italian Institute of Hydrobiology, where he still works to date.
From 1984-1987, he worked as Director of the magazine Memorie dell'Istituto Italiano di Idrobiologia Marco de Marchi. In 1988 he was appointed as by the Ministry for the Environment (Legge 9 Novembre 1988, n. 475). From the following year to 1991 he was appointed Funzionario Nazionale Distaccato at the Environment Institute, Joint Research Centre of Ispra, Commission of the European Communities.
Since 1993, he has worked as a scientific coordinator of Ev-K²-CNR Committee. The year after, he graduates a second time in Natural Science, at Milan Unversity while from 1995 to 1996, he is the Director of the magazine Acqua Aria.
He is the author or the co-author of 266 publications and of more than 1000 reviews of Italian and foreign books and publications on ecology topics (chemistry, biology, geology, zoology, botany, economy, etc.).
His scientific and professional background makes of him one of maximum experts in:
- Substance in traces on water ecosystems
- Speciation, cycle and toxicity of metal traces
- Water Ecotoxicology
- Evaluation of environmental impact
