How to submit a research proposal
Researchers are invited to present proposals:
- to request the patronage and auspices of the Ev-K²-CNR Committee
- to carry out research at the Pyramid International Laboratory-Observatory
- for co-funding
Proposals can be presented at any time of the year. Annually, usually between September and November, the Committee evaluates insertion of new projects within its programs for the following calendar year. We therefore suggest proposals be submitted at least six months prior to the desired year of execution (e.g., a project to be carried out in 2007 should be submitted by June 2006).
INSTRUCTION TO SUBMIT THE RESEARCH PROPOSALS
In general, proposals must contain an explanation of the scientific and geographic context in which the activities will be carried out, a description of the scientific research design (objectives, motivation, methods) and a comprehensive chronological work plan. The relevance of the project in terms of transferability of results and benefits for the local populations must also be clearly highlighted. All proposals must include the CV of the Principal Investigator (PI) and be signed by the head of the PI’s research institution.
Proposals can be presented in one of three categories: new projects; continuations or unexecuted approved projects.
The original proposal documents should be sent to the Executive and Technical Secretariat, with all attachments and requested information, by mail. A duplicate electronic copy of all documents must also be sent by e-mail to ensure prompt processing of the proposal.

If a project was approved, but for some reason could not be initiated as planned, and there are no significant variations with respect to the approved version, the project can be presented for execution in the subsequent calendar year by submitting:
If the project foresees significant variations with respect to the approved proposal, it will be considered a new project and a complete written proposal following the proposal layout needs to be provided. |
