Ev-K2-CNR Scientific Council is working on new procedures to present research proposals.
They will soon be on line.
HOW TO SUBMIT A RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Researchers are invited to present proposals:
• to request the patronage of the Ev-K2-CNR Committee
• to carry out research at the Pyramid International Laboratory/Observatory
• for co-funding (in case of proposals within the framework of Ev-K2-CNR integrated programs
Proposals can be presented at any time of the year, using the following form:

The form should be sent to evk2cnr@evk2cnr.org , along with a copy of the principle investigator’s CV.
If a proposal is for project continuation, approval must still be renewed annually, based on a review of the progress made in the previous year. Use the following form to present a proposal for project continuation:

EVALUATION PROCEDURES AND CRITERIA
NEW PROJECTS
Each new proposal will be examined by the Ev-K2-CNR Scientific Council and evaluated by anonymous external referees.
The following criteria in particular will be taken into account:
• relevance to Ev-K2-CNR objectives;
• congruence between costs and benefits;
• contributions to Ev-K2-CNR’s integrated programs (SHARE, Karakorum Trust);
• coherence with global priorities;
• awareness of international strategies and local development needs;
• value for the host country (where field work is done, i.e., Nepal, Pakistan, etc.);
• contribution to fulfillment of Italy’s international commitments (Kyoto Protocol, etc.);
• promotion of Italy’s image in the fields of science and development abroad;
• involvement of young and/or local researchers.
PROJECT CONTINUATION
Proposals for project continuation will not be subject to evaluation by external referees however, the Ev-K2-CNR Scientific Council will assess the progress made towards objectives before renewing its approval.
The following criteria will be considered:
• state of the art of the research since project launch and results obtained
• motivation for continuation of the project
• results produced in terms of publications, patents, capacity building, etc.
PROJECTS IN NEPAL
Research to be carried out in Nepal, once approved by the Scientific Council, will also need to be submitted to the Ev-K2-CNR/RONAST Bilateral Technical Committee (BTC) for approval. The BTC meets once a year, typically between November and February.
PROGRESS AND FINAL REPORTS
All researchers carrying out project approved by the Ev-K2-CNR Scientific Council must send annual progress updates to Ev-K2-CNR. A final report is also required upon project conclusion. The form for both reports is the following:

The completed form must be sent by e-mail to evk2cnr@evk2cnr.org, with a copy of any relevant scientific publications attached.
